In pictures: the world takes to the streets for the People's Climate March

Yesterday hundreds of thousands of people in 166 countries took the streets to demand action to combat climate change, ahead of a UN summit this week.

According to organisers 570,000 people took part in what was the largest climate march in history including 40,000 in London.
