Ms Ardern confirmed a report circulating on Facebook that she helped a mum-of-two pay for her groceries, as the woman forgot to bring her wallet.

The Facebook post, which has since been deleted, purported to read:

Just when you think Jacinda Ardern couldn’t get any more lovely, low key and authentic….

She goes and pays for your groceries at the supermarket, because you’ve got your shopping, have two kids with you and are about to put it all back as you forgot your wallet.

Asked about the charitable moment at a press conference if it was true, she confirmed that the event had happened, and the reason she did it?

Because she was a mum.

From her strong stance against white supremacy to this random act of kindness, people are loving the prime minister even more, if that were even possible.
