BBC presenter James Naughtie said 's**t*' on the Today programme

James Naughtie began his week like many of us do at 7am on a Monday morning - unfortunately for him he was on live radio.

Just moments before the news bulletin on Radio 4's Today programme, as the pips beeped out, the Scottish presenter uttered a quiet but very distinct "s--t".


It certainly didn't go unnoticed amongst listeners of the BBC's flagship news programme:

Although it's certainly not the worst expletive Naughtie has accidentally used on the Today programme. Back in 2010 he accidentally swapped the "h" for a "c" in health secretary Jeremy Hunt's surname...
