Jennifer Aniston says she’s cut out friends who refuse to get vaccinated

Jennifer Aniston made it clear that she has no issue in cutting off people who refuse the Covid vaccine.

The ‘Friendsstar featured on the cover of September’s issue of InStyle, where she shared how important the vaccine is to her. She opened up about the opposing vax views among her pals, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion – but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda,” she said.

The award-winning actress, who debuted on the world-renowned sitcom 27 years ago, expressed her concern that “there’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts” – which she deemed “a real shame.”

“I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate,” she said. “I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform, since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day.”

Aniston has continued to encourage her 37.7 million Instagram followers to follow Covid protocols throughout the pandemic. A close friend of hers also contracted the virus in July last year and was taken to hospital.

In a post, the actress said her friend, Kevin was “perfectly healthy, not one underlying health issue.”

“This is Covid. This is real,” she added, before prompting people to wear a mask: “We can’t be so naive to think we can outrun this ... if we want this to end, and we do, right? The one step we can take is PLEASE#wearadamnmask.”

Jennifer Aniston’s full interview with US InStyle will be available 13 August or available to read online.
