John Oliver fanboying over Beyoncé starring beside him in The Lion King is all of us

The cast list for the new Lion King live-action remake is so, so pure.

Look at all the talented people!

Among them is comedian John Oliver, whose talk show Last Week Tonight is the delight of satire fans everywhere. He has been cast as the smart-talking bird Zazu.

It might surprise you to know that Oliver is a massive fan of Beyoncé, who will be voicing the character of Nala.

During an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers, he was asked about working with Queen Bee.

The audience roared at the sound of her name, and Oliver said:

That’s right, that is the appropriate response to the word ‘Beyoncé’.

Meyers asked him what he would do if he ever met her.

I would drop to my f***king knees.

He also talked about the Emmy awards two years ago, where he was delighted to be seated behind her. She didn't show up, much to his disappointment.

You can see the full video here (fanboying starts around the 3:20 mark).
