Love Island star claims that Trump is using photos of him to sell 2020 campaign merchandise

A former contestant on ITV’s flagship dating show Love Island experienced quite the shock when he became the unlikely face of president Trump’s 2020 campaign.

Rykard Jenkins discovered that a photoshopped picture from his Instagram is being used to promote Donald Trump 2020 campaign merchandise.

The influencer took to Twitter to share the snap, which shows Trump’s logo superimposed onto his FXB cap.

He said:

Woke up this morning to know I’m the new face for the 2020 @realDonaldTrump campaign?

It certainly seems like a bit of a silly move to choose the photograph of someone with lots of followers to draw their attention to the error.

Also, given Trump is always boasting about his wealth, you’d think his campaign could have paid a professional – or at least an American – to model the merch. What happened to "America first"?

Regardless, people online found the mess-up hilarious. Many encouraged the Love Island star to sue the president.
