Co-parenting when you’re newly separated can often be difficult.
As Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green seem to be discovering in the public eye. Fox filed for divorce earlier this year after 10 years with Green, with whom she shares three children.
However, she’s not happy with the way her ex is behaving on social media.
On Sunday, the star commented publicly on an Instagram post Green had uploaded, which showed the podcast host wearing a yeti costume and included their child sporting a Spiderman get up.
“Hope you all had a happy Halloween,” Green captioned the snap.
Fox however, was not pleased and quickly left a comment making her feelings known.
She wrote:
Why does [our son] have to be in this picture? It's not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren't in. I had a great halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media.
I know you love your kids. But I don't know why you can't stop using them to posture via Instagram. You're so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I'm an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year.
You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?
Green didn't respond publicly.
But he deleted the picture and reposted it, with their child cropped out.
People also think Green’s ex-wife, Vanessa Marcil, then got involved. She shared an Instagram post that read “Like I said… the truth always comes out in the end”, captioning with the hashtag “#ImWithYouSister”.
Fans were split in their opinion of the public social media disagreement.
But most were united in their hope that the parents can work out any animosity between them.
At the end of the day, whether in the public eye or not, they're just a family trying to navigate a difficult post-divorce situation.
Brian Austin Green has been contacted for comment.
