Ukip tanks are on our lawns - and we are not speaking figuratively.

This is Nigel Farage standing on a Chieftain mk 10 battle tank at the Heywood Tank Museum, in Manchester. He is campaigning ahead of the by-election in Heywood and Middleton Thursday, which is taking place in the wake of the death of Labour MP Jim Dobbin.
