Ukip’s leader, Paul Nuttall, was probably retaining a lot of information in his head when he took part in the ITV leaders’ debate last night.
Maybe that’s why he kept calling Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood “Natalie”.
It’s not even close, Paul.
Alas; instead of anyone's policies or voting or voting intentions taking centre stage, 'Natalie' took the limelight instead:
Incredible scenes. Paul Nuttall just called Leanne Wood "Natalie" for the second time in twenty minutes. Genuinely the best bit of this. — Jamie Ross (@Jamie Ross)
Drifted out of #ITVdebate. Only piques interest when Nuttall calls someone Natalie.

2) Who's Natalie? — Josh Halliday (@Josh Halliday)
Nuttall calling Leanne Wood Natalie is the most exciting thing to happen in politics in the run up to this general election — Andrea (@Andrea)
Some joked about Nuttall's somewhat flimsy relationship with the truth:
BREAKING: Paul Nuttall blames girlfriend, Natalie Portman, for debate mishap.
#itvdebate — Gareth Morgan (@Gareth Morgan)
But the question on everyone's lips: who is Natalie?
Some think Nuttall could be thinking of former Green Party leader, Natalie Bennett - who had the greatest comeback:
The only time I can recall being in the same room as Paul Nuttall was #BBCAQ in 2014. He clearly hasn't recovered https://t.co/iAsz0cqhwL — Natalie Bennett (@Natalie Bennett)
Managed to listen to a bit of the show, and I did call Ukip "dangerous and despicable". Perhaps he hasn't recovered. — Natalie Bennett (@Natalie Bennett)
Perhaps Paul is just a big fan of this 2004 banger?
