People are sharing this cartoon to raise awareness about the terror attack on Istanbul

Turkey has been rocked after an attack on Ataturk airport killed 42 people and injuring over two hundred.

There have been four attacks on Turkey since 2015, as well as attacks on France and Belgium as “lone wolf” style terrorism dominates the western world.

In light of the most recent attack on the Muslim majority country, people have been using the hashtag #PrayForTurkey on Twitter, followed by images to show solidarity with the victims.

The cartoon first appeared on Twitter following the terrorist attack in Pakistan in March which killed over 70 people and injured over 300.

People are sharing it again to shine light on other terrorist attacks in Muslim-majority countries.

According to the 2015 Global Terrorism index, Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria are the countries worst-hit by terrorism, making up 88 per cent of all terrorist incidents in the world.
