Projections showing naked, pregnant Trump spooned by Putin shown in New York

New Yorkers were in for a bit of a treat on Valentine’s Day.

An image equal parts amazing and disturbing was projected on three buildings around the city – showing Russian president Vladimir Putin naked, and cradling a pregnant, naked Donald Trump.

The billboards – two in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn – also featured the words “love through hate”.

The stunt was masterminded by the dating app Hater, which matches people based on mutual dislikes.

Brendan Alper, Hater's founder and CEO, told Business Insider:

There's a lot of tension out there, regardless of which side you're on.

We're just trying to make people laugh. Through humour, hate can turn into love.
