£4.5m spent on Kensington Palace upgrade. Wills and Kate move to Norfolk

Despite a £4.5m refit of their residence at Kensington Palace (courtesy of the taxpayer), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have reportedly decided to move to a more rural location.

The royal couple will be moving to 10-bedroom Anmer Hall, on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, as William prepares for his role at the East Anglian Air Ambulance service, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Kensington Palace (20 bedrooms), which boasts a Peter Rabbit-themed nursery (presumably for when Prince Harry comes to visit), will remain their official residence.
