Man thanks internet after his reaction to the 'racist rant' on Question Time became a meme

A man who was sat next to a woman who went on a 'racist rant' on Thursday's edition of Question Time has thanked the internet after his reaction to the moment went viral.

By now you've probably seen said moment from Question Time where a woman claiming to be from London launched into a stunning anti-immigration rant and said that 'enough is enough' and that the UK's borders need to be 'completely closed.'

It was one of the most shocking moments in recent memory on the debate show but it was made slightly better thanks to the expression on the face of the man sitting next to the woman.

While she was ranting, he had a look on his face which told a story of contempt, disgust and the vague hope that someone could get him as far away from there as quickly as possible.

His face didn't go unnoticed and it became the perfect meme, to sum up, this otherwise embarrassing moment.

Now, thanks to the wonders of the internet, the man from the clip has thanked everyone for turning him into a meme.

Will Austin, who has been a Twitter user since October 2011 said he was 'truly overwhelmed by the kindness and support' he had received since the clip went viral.

Although his tweet might not have gone as viral as his reaction people have been thanking him for standing up for what is right in the face of bigotry.
