McDonald's worker fired for calling customer racial slur in shocking video

For the second time in just a few weeks, a Florida McDonald’s restaurant was thrust into confrontation between a customer and its staff.

An employee has been fired after a video of him repeatedly calling a black customer a ‘n****r’ at a Florida drive-thru went viral online.

In the explosive incident, a female employee can be seen on the phone calling the police as a black customer stands on the other side of the window recording the incident and shouting.

You just called me a n****r.

He shouted the claim multiple times.

The employee who allegedly used the racial slur, an unnamed young man, walks up to the class and shouts, "I don’t give a f**k."

The video, shared on Thursday, doesn’t show what led up to the conflict and begins when the customer, named Zacch Barnes, accuses the staff of using the racial slur.

A female employee can be heard telling the police dispatcher on the phone that Mr Barnes threatened a manager and attempted to climb through the drive-through window.

After the customer tells the man he will get fired for using such language, he walks back up to the glass and shouts:

I will f**k you up you f***ing n****r.

"You’re getting fired too, because you’re a manager," the customer says. "You’re supposed to handle this differently."

The clip went viral after it made its way online, and it ended up on WorldStarHipHop and Atlanta Black Star.

In a statemen to Yahoo Lifestyle, McDonald’s franchisee Javiert Illas confirmed the employee is no longer working at that McDonald’s.

I am aware of the incident involving one of my employees earlier this week.

The disturbance with the customer prompted our management team to call the police right away; and we did an immediate investigation on this matter. This behaviour goes against the values and standards that I expect from employees in my restaurants.

This employee displayed improper and unacceptable conduct and is no longer with the company.

On New Year’s Eve, a man got in a confrontation with a female employee after he grew irate over the Florida city's new straw ban. In a video captured by onlookers, the man yanks the employee, before she regained her balance and rained punches on him.

In the UK, a McDonald's in Brixton was plagued by a racist man ranting about "white people building Africa".
