Donald Trump has visited his golf courses on 13 occasions during his time as President of the United States.
The most recent was the eighth weekend in a row (out of a possible ten).
Whenever he flies down to Miami, which as we've established is most weekends, the Secret Service have increased protection costs which comes with a travelling President.
This could be anything from lodgings to gear, to paying overtime.
Since the President has been hitting the course, a recent expenditure has included golf buggies, as Nathaniel Meyersohn of CNN found.
The Secret Service has spent $16k so far on golf cart rentals for Trump trips to Mar-a-Lago. https://t.co/Pgje6S1LBh— Nathaniel Meyersohn (@Nathaniel Meyersohn) 1490549714
There were reportedly three separate charges from Golf Car & Utility Vehicle Distributors, LLC to the US Secret Service, amounting to $16,685.
They were invoiced "Golf Cart rental for POTUS visit."
This cost, combined with the lease of "Ground Effect Vehicles, Motor Vehicles, Trailers and Cycles", amounted to more than Obama's did in any given year during his second term.
In addition, agents have to sleep somewhere while Donald is at Mar-A-Lago, which has also been a talking point...

... And as the New York Times has reported, the visits provide valuable brand exposure.
Oh, and security concerns galore.
It's worth it though, right?
