We can't bring back MSN messenger and MySpace, but you can now download The Sims 4 for free.

As part of a promotion, EA is offering free downloads for both PC and Macs of the iconic life simulation game, which was the best-selling computer game of all time in 2002.

Many people who haven't revisited the game since they wore combat trousers seven sizes too big for them and braces on their teeth are understandably elated.

Although avid players who have already bought the game are disappointed their loyalty isn't being rewarded.

We're sensing a whole new wave of depraved things people do to their Sims coming on, although it's hard to imagine anything beating some of the incredible responses to this Reddit thread posted two years ago.
