Labour MP Richard Burgon was left red-faced after a Sky news reporter had to remind him of what happened the last times polls predicted that Labour would win the election – they did not.
Kay Burley questioned Richard Burgon, shadow justice secretary after he called for a general election.
“The polls say you won’t win,” Burley told Burgon.
“The polls said we wouldn’t win last time,” Burgon shot back.
This prompted Burley to remind him:
You didn’t.
Savage.
The exchange made people online laugh
