Storm Brendan causes havoc in Ireland after blowing a trampoline onto a motorway

Storm Brendan is due to arrive in the UK today bringing with it strong winds of up to 80mph that are likely to cause havoc in certain areas of the country.

As a precautionary measure, schools and nurseries in the Western Isles of Scotland have been closed, while yellow weather warnings have been issued across most of the UK for the next two days.

However, the Republic of Ireland is expected to bear the brunt of the storm and the effects of it can already be seen on the roads of Ireland.

Bizarre footage has been shared on Twitter of a random trampoline, yes, a trampoline that has been blown onto the M7 motorway in Limerick forcing cars to swerve out of the way of the object.

Thankfully, there were no children on the trampoline but we couldn't help but be reminded of this clip for the criminally underrated sitcom The Detectorists.

While it looks like no one was hurt by this rogue trampoline it is advised that you only travel if it is absolutely necessary.
