Storm Ciara is sweeping the UK. (That's pronounced "Kiera" as in Knightly by the way, not "Ciara" of 2004 "1, 2, Step" fame.)
The Met Office has issued a “danger to life” severe weather warning, saying that the winds could cause damage to buildings and power cuts.
Trans, flights and ferries have been cancelled and people are being advised to avoid travel if at all possible.
Last night, three people were injured after a pub roof partially collapsed in Perth, brought down by a neighbour’s chimney.

The worst of the storm is expected to hit throughout the day, with the yellow weather warnings over the whole of the UK until midnight on Sunday.
