A new campaign has launched asking people to draw penises on maps - and it's for a very good cause (yes really).

Testicular Cancer New Zealand is asking people to go for a run, walk, drive or even row with their GPS trackers on to form a "cock 'n' balls masterpiece".

The idea of the #GoBallsOut campaign is that people will go for a run with a GPS-enabled app, then share screenshots to social media and tag their friends in order to spread awareness of testicular cancer.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer affecting men between the ages of 15-39, yet according to Testicular Cancer New Zealand the awareness of the disease is "shockingly low".

In a statement the charity said:

It's proven that regular exercise prevents a number of cancers, so get out in the park, on the streets or wherever you want and create your own giant cock 'n' balls.

Graeme Woodside, CEO of Testicular Cancer New Zealand added:

We hope this campaign will get people talking and walking.

We want young men to 'Go Balls Out' to show the world they've got the message, and are willing to start the conversation.

Guys love some competition, and when it comes to cock and balls, they can get very competitive!

We want young men to understand how to confidently check themselves and know what to watch out for.

Asking people to #GoBallsOut raises awareness of Testicular Cancer in a provocative and visual way.

Ultimately, however, we want people to 'check their balls' and keep themselves safe.

People have already been sharing screenshots on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

Some have even taken to the skies and formed "cock 'n' balls" flight pattern
