The worst political adverts of all time

You see, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama weren't always friends...

Remember when Herman Cain wanted to be president? How weird was that? As an aside, Mike Tyson's impression of the pizza tycoon is perhaps the funniest thing on the internet.

It's reassuring there's some home-grown weird talent out there too, although Jason Smith has clearly been watching too much Doctor Who.

It's nowhere near as weird as this however. Nowhere.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Nick Clegg might be the only politician to ever launch an attack ad on himself. The ubiquitous auto-tune remix is here.

Mike Huckabee, before he was a purveyor of creepy history DVDs, actually wanted to be president and friends with Chuck Norris.

This almost cost Barack Obama his re-election.

And this is still creepy.

Finally, attack adverts are actually pretty tame nowadays. In 1964 Americans were warned that a vote for Barry Goldwater was a vote for little girls getting nuked.
