On Monday, a major new report commissioned by the World Health Organisation claimed that eating red meat, including beef, pork and lamb, can increase the risk of cancer.
The findings by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) place household favourites like steak, bacon and sausages in the same category as asbestos, alcohol, arsenic and tobacco.
In light of this study, with the help of Statista, we've taken a look at the countries within the OECD group of nations which might want to start looking at their diets.
The above chart, using beef and veal consumption data, shows that South American nations Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, followed by the US and Australia maybe need to start hitting the vegetables instead.
