Paris might not be known as the world's most affordable city, but according to a new index it's the best place for young people to live.

That's according to Youthful Cities, whose affordability index looks at 25 of the world's biggest cities and compares the cost of everyday items such as food, housing and public transport.

Here is the overall ranking of all 25 cities:

For minimum wage, these are their top 10:
