This photographer took pictures of her own labour and it's beautiful

These are the most painfully beautiful pictures you will see today.

Photographer Lisa Robinson-Ward decided that she was going to photographically document her labour.

Robinson-Ward, who is based in California told ABC News:

I'm really happy for all the positive feedback… I'm glad that I had the chance to share my experience and give a different perspective on birth photography.

The photographs capture raw emotions - not just of the mum, but also of the dad - which comes from welcoming a newborn into the world.
