What's the weirdest opening message you've ever received on Tinder? Do you prefer a casual 'how are you', or are you more into the idea of something a bit more interesting and original?
Well, if you are, then Drew is certainly your man. When he matched with a woman called Emilia, and she asked him to send her a sonnet about 'first love', he certainly didn't disappoint.
In response to her request, he set about crafting her a beautiful sonnet, which also had a rather cheeky request hidden within its letters. When he asked her to look closely at the first letter of each of the lines of the sonnet, she soon noticed that it spelled out 'send nudes'.
Further, there was a second hidden message. When she looked closely at the second letter of each line, she realised that they spelled out: 'Phone number pls'.
How very romantic.
Speaking to Bored Panda about his original take on the dating app, he said:
I thrive on genuinely investing that effort to make the other party unexpectedly impressed. I always loved writing poetry and it has turned out a great way to break the ice.
He also revealed that he often takes up to 45 minutes to craft a single Tinder message, and despite the fact they don't boost his chances of a date, they do make him stand out.
To be honest I find I have about just as much success with normal messaging than I do with the poems. They’re not magically boosting my chances but they do well as a memorable ice-breaker.
