Far-right Tommy Robinson supporters couldn’t get any weirder, surely?

Well, unfortunately for everyone with a working brain and a pair of ears, this assumption is false.

On the heels of Robinson’s latest court battle, his supporters have written a song – to the tune of Leonard Cohen’s 'Hallelujah' – which celebrates Robinson.

It was tweeted by Ezra Levant, a Canadian Robinson fan who associates closely with fellow anti-Islam and anti-immigrant cheerleader Katie Hopkins after she was fired from consecutive media platforms in the UK.

Before you go thinking this is a hoax, a recorded version of the song has been uploaded to YouTube, which has more than 60,000 views.

The lyrics of the song paint Robinson as some kind of hero, fighting against people who are trying to kill him for his beliefs. The word "Hallelujah" has been replaced by "How they rule ya".

Apparently unashamed by this song, Robinson's supporters even broke out to a rendition after he left court at the Old Bailey as his trial for contempt of court was referred to the Attorney General.
