Trump Jr owns himself by sharing graph that shows Biden has created loads more jobs than his Dad

Donald Trump Jr suffered an embarrassing self-own on Saturday when he shared a White House graphic showing that US president Joe Biden had created significantly more jobs per month, on average, than his father.

On Friday, the White House Instagram account uploaded a graph showing the number of jobs created by Biden in comparison with former US presidents such as Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Biden’s bar towers over the others with a monthly average of more than 550,000, while Trump is the only president on the list to have a minus figure, coming in at just over the -50,000 mark.

“Under President Biden, the economy has created more jobs per month than under any other president – ever,” the account wrote.

Although Trump has not commented on the post – due to the simple fact that his Instagram account was suspended following the Capitol insurrection last year – two of his children soon swooped in to defend their dad.

“What a joke,” commented Eric Trump, accompanying his message with a laughing emoji.

Meanwhile, Trump Jr added: “I’m just here for the comments.”

The executive vice president of The Trump Organization also shared the post and his comment on his own Instagram account, writing: “Thoughts? The comments to this nonsense on the original are truly amazing.”

Yet despite Trump Jr asking people for their thoughts on the White House graphic, comments on his post have been limited, meaning only select users such as followers can respond.

Journalist Aaron Rupar went on to share the post on Twitter, describing it as “quite the self-own” from the businessman – and others agreed:

Ironically, it seems Trump Jr trumped himself.
