Donald Trump launched into yet another attack on “The Squad” - four democratic congresswomen made up of the likes of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Ilhan Omar calling them “four left-wing extremists who reject everything that we hold dear.”
The US president attended a rally in Cincinnati, Ohio. He said:
While Republicans are working every day to build up our country, the rage-filled Democrat Party is trying to tear America apart.
The Democrat Party is now being led by four left-wing extremists who reject everything that we hold dear.
The US president told supporters – who did not break into racist chants like they did two weeks ago in Florida – he was seeking to avoid “controversy,” so he didn’t spend long talking about the four congresswomen, Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib.
He did not mention them by name but many online criticised his latest attack on the congresswomen
Trump has targeted the four congresswomen of colour on multiple occasions.
Taking to Twitter, the president previously said:
The “Squad” is a very racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart.
They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left, and were against humanitarian aid at the Border...And are now against ICE and Homeland Security.
So bad for our Country!
Earlier he also tweeted that they should “go back home."
