Donald Trump has lashed out at Twitter calling it "really ridiculous, illegal, and, of course, very unfair!" because all the trends that are about him are negative.

In one of his routine Twitter outburst, the president lamented the website, which he uses on a near-daily basis, for looking for stories about him and then making it trend.

What prompted this particular bit of criticism isn't obvious but it comes amid a growing sense of frustration from Trump and his followers towards Twitter.

As recently as Monday evening, Trump found himself at the centre of a storm on Twitter after several tweets and videos which were flagged as 'misleading' were removed after Trump had shared them. These same videos have also resulted in Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr being 'temporarily locked out' of his account for sharing misleading information about coronavirus.

Regardless his latest grievance has not gone down too well, especially as he has much bigger things to be concerning himself with.

The Hill reports that aides close to Trump have been getting more and more frustrated with Twitter as they feel it suppresses and censors Conservative voices, while Trump's press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in June that Twitter was 'silencing the president's call for law and order' during the Black Lives Matter protests.
