Vladimir Putin praises Donald Trump and Sepp Blatter, appears to just be trolling the whole world

It seems like Vladimir Putin is in a troll-off with US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

On Thursday, at his bizarre annual news conference, the Russian president praised Trump as a "very flamboyant man, very talented", appeared to endorse him in the election race and welcomed his comments which indicated the candidate wanted stronger relations between the US and Russia.

Praising the most controversial politician of the very controversial Republican field, Putin said:

He is a very flamboyant man, very talented, no doubt about that... He is an absolute leader of the presidential race, as we see it today.

He says that he wants to move to another level of relations, to a deeper level of relations with Russia. How can we not welcome that? Of course we welcome it.

Putin was responding to remarks Trump made in November, when he said:

I believe we will have a very good relationship with Russia. I believe that I will have a very good relationship with Putin.

Perhaps even more remarkable than that, was Putin suggesting that suspended Fifa president Sepp Blatter deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, ahead of Blatter’s appearance before the governing body's ethics committee to answer corruption allegations.

Putin said:

That is someone who should be given the Nobel Peace Prize.

His contribution to the global humanitarian sphere is colossal.

Whether there are signs of corruption in FIFA, the investigation must show. As for Joseph Blatter, he is a very respected person, he has done a lot for the development of world soccer.
