The image, submitted to the Facebook page Love What Matters by Hannah Nicole Kent, has amassed over 280,000 shares in less than 24 hours.

According to the page:

This husband was helping his wife choose a make-up that matched her skin tone. She was so concerned about finding the right one and he was so unbelievably helpful

She was having a ‘girl’ moment, in a panic struggling to find the right one. He calmed her down, helped her find her color and kissed her on the forehead. It was such a simple way to show how big his love was for her. A perfect reminder that our bodies grow old but our love doesn’t have to.

The reception has been immense, with well over 58,000 users commenting on the touching sentiment.

Many users shared stories of their loving significant others.

Brandy Gray McCrary went one step further, and submitted a photo of her husband helping to shave her hair as she was undergoing chemotherapy.


My husband helped me shave my hair because it was falling out coz of chemo. My husband would definitely go pick out make up.
