When does life begin: at conception? When the foetus has a heart beat?

The debate continues to rage on about the ethics of abortion, and with more abortion clinics closing at an alarming rate in America and the media's saturation with anti-abortion rhetoric, women's rights are being sidelined.

Enter comedian Sarah Silverman, who, during a stand-up set in Brooklyn, had the perfect solution to the debate. As the Huffington Post reports, here's what she said:

Here’s something that I learned that is fascinating, and it’s this: Scientists have found that sperms cells smell...sperm cells have the sense of smell, and you know what that means: Sperm is life.

And you know what that means: We’ve gotta legislate that s--t.

She's not technically wrong and a study by the American Association For The Advancement of Science found that sperm cells may actually smell their way to the egg cell.

To date 13 states require abortion clinics to show a woman who wants an abortion an ultrasound of their foetus, prior to termination.

Silverman's message is clear:

Protect the sperm.

In the same vein, men need to be shown what they are killing, every time they masturbate, Silverman insists:

What we’ll do is — it’s a real simple procedure. We take a really long needle-like basically GoPro camera and we put it down your penis hole, urethra … then down into your testicular sack.. we’re going to show you the ultrasound, so you can see the life in your balls.

Simple, really.
