Why the NHS in England is in dire straits in two graphics

A note on Scotland and Wales: The NHS in Scotland is facing a £400m funding gap over the next two financial years, 2015-2017.

The Welsh Government has now given £425m of additional spending to the NHS in Wales over the next two years. It had previously faced a funding cut and was predicting a budget deficit.
