Like you, monkeys are big fans of tips and tricks videos

The phrase monkey see, monkey do has never been more apt. According to a study in Biology Letters by Tina Gunhold at the University of Vienna, primates can learn new skills by watching "how to" videos.

They found marmosets could copy on-screen strangers to learn new skills. The animals were much more likely to learn how to copy the tasks (either pushing up a lid or pulling a drawer open) from a video than from still images. Gunhold, who tested 108 monkeys, told New Scientist: "We didn't know if wild marmosets would be frightened of the video box but actually they were all attracted to it."
