Virgin Trains apologises for 'sexist' tweet to woman who complained about being called 'honey'

Train journeys are uncomfortable, expensive affairs at the best of times.

Not to mention the latest rail fare hikes.

Emily Lucinda Cole recently complained about her experience to an older male train manager.

She was unsatisfied with the "patronising" responses he allegedly gave and took to Twitter to voice her frustration.

Her account of the incident was also supported by other Twitter users who claimed they had witnessed the exchange.
