This SNL sketch was just too much for Ryan Gosling

In 2015, Ryan Gosling guest starred in an Saturday Night Live (SNL) sketch called Close Encounter, alongside Cecily Strong and Kate McKinnon.

The premise was an alien abduction debriefing, in which all three abductees share very different stories of the event to the authorities.

In McKinnon's case, the story is very sexual.

McKinnon stole the show and had Gosling in stitches, breaking character.

Well, last night SNL returned for their 43rd season premiere, as did the three abductees.

McKinnon went brilliantly overboard again, using Gosling as a prop to explain the incident.

And Gosling really tried to hold it together again.

He really tried.
