Will Smith recreates ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ scenes on TikTok for show’s 30th anniversary

In case you weren’t aware, the Fresh Prince of-Bel Air cast had a reunion for the sitcom’s 30th anniversary last week.

Seated together in the famous living room, the cast recalled the process and fond memories of creating one of the most renowned comedies of the 90’s – which also catapulted Will Smith to international stardom.

To commemorate the occasion, the actor also took to his TikTok and Instagram to recreate some of the show’s most iconic moments.

In each video, Smith and various Fresh Prince cast members line up to perfectly match the original shots while Simple Plan’s ‘I’m Just a Kid’ plays.

Each clip was accompanied with the caption: “30 years later and not much has changed.”

Safe to say, they were all pretty accurate.

It’s like barely any time has passed.

Several original cast members returned for the show’s reunion which aired on HBO Max, including Janet Hubert, who had a difficult relationship with Smith during the making of the series. In the reunion, Smith apologised to Hubert and the two reconciled.

The reunion special also paid a touching tribute to the late James Avery, who played Philip Banks.

This isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of the series. NBC’s streaming service Peacock ordered two seasons of a reboot titled Bel-Air.
