Last week it was announced that Beijing will host the 2022 Winter Olympics, despite the city's lack of snow, water, or culture of winter sports.
So far, so typically-baffling-decision-from-international-sporting-body.
The Chinese authorities have said that there will be ample artificial snow for the Games to take place, but controversially, it looks like they may be employing the help of a trademarked ice queen, too.
One of the official songs for the Beijing bid is the track below called 'The Snow and Ice Dance', sung as a duet by artists Sun Nan and Tan Jing:

A spokeswoman for the Beijing Games’ organising committee told the NYT she couldn't comment on the questions the song had raised.
