Where is Ready to Mingle filmed?

ITV’s new dating show Ready to Mingle hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan is set to hit our screen tonight (September 6).

Ready To Mingle follows a single girl in her quest to find love, as 12 male suitors compete for her affections and the chance to win a big money prize.

But like with every reality dating show, there’s always a twist...

And in this case, it’s the fact that not all the boys are single, with some of them even being coached by their real-life partners in an attempt to win the cash prize.

During this time, the contestants will stay in a luxurious hideaway, where the single girl will get to know all the boys through activities, games and dates. She will then eliminate each contestant one by one until she finds her “dream man”, according to the show’s synopsis.

But where exactly is this luxurious hideaway that we will be regularly seeing on the show?

Here is everything you need to know about where Ready to Mingle has been filmed:

It wasn’t filmed abroad like Love Island

Unlike the popular ITV 2 dating show Love Island, which is filmed on the Balearic Island of Majorca, Ready to Mingle is based in the UK.

The luxury hideaway is located in Torquay, Devon

Torquay, which is in south Devon, is known for being one of the country’s top holiday destinations and has been named by Trip Advisor as the UK’s top seaside resort.

What’s more, filming took place in a 3.5m luxury, six-bedroom clifftop house which is 5,250 sq. ft and boasts a Gym/Media room and terrace overlooking “unrivalled panoramic sea views” of the South West Coast Path, according to estate agents, Strutt and Parker.

We’re pretty jealous, to be honest.

Neighbours were paid a lot of money for production to use fields for vehicles and catering

It seems neighbours next to the house pocketed from the filming.

According to DevonLive, the residents were paid money for use of their fields so that the crew of up to 60 and production vehicles could be parked, along with portable offices and catering marquees.

In the beginning, they didn’t know what the production was for, with some believing at first that it would be used as a setting for a staycation version of Love Island due to the pandemic, but that was not the case.

Ready to Mingle airs on Monday 6 September at 9pm on ITV 2.
