We all know 'dad jokes'.
They're unfunny or cringeworthy puns and twists of logic, stereotypically told by yer da.
They range from zingers like...
RIP boiled water.
You will be mist.
...to:
I used to have a job at a calendar factory, but I was fired for taking a couple of days off.
Grace's grandad however, may have pulled the most 'dad joke' of all the dad jokes.
He asked her if she wanted a quarter pounder from McDonalds.
A signature burger from the fast food chain is what she was expecting.
Instead she got, a, er, quarter-pounder.
My grandpa asked me if I wanted a quarter pounder from McDonalds and this is what I got.... wtf man https://t.co/qQ69wvzKLG— grace treat (@grace treat) 1498159558
Yep he brought her a device for crushing (or should we say pounding?) quarters (a coin in American currency worth 25 cents).
And god, he looks so pleased with himself.
Commitment to the dad-joke or guerilla marketing? Who knows. It made us laugh, though.
It certainly beats the current top reigning Dad joke, which we reported on last year.
my dad has just taken dad jokes to a whole new level https://t.co/S7pklb4EhX— jess🌱 (@jess🌱) 1469527208
People on Twitter find it pretty endearing.
