Dave Benson Phillips of Get Your Own Back fame almost sparked a minor terror alert in sleepy Sussex on Saturday.
The TV legend felt compelled to publicly apologise for scaring staff and customers at BHS in Worthing after his son's balloon dog unexpectedly burst in store.
A spokesperson for BHS confirmed that no staff were forced to intervene during the incident. Speaking to i100.co.uk Cassandra Robinson-Brown said:
No alarms were raised and there was no need to call the authorities.
