French president Emmanuel Macron has shown the world he is passionate about much more than politics.
During a state visit by American President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, Macron and his wife Brigitte decided to take the pair on a tour of the historic complex of buildings Les Invalides in Paris.
It was during this tour of museums and monuments, which include a church marking the final resting place of Napoleon Bonaparte, Macron reportedly gave his wife a “tap on the read end”.
The 'rear-end tap' was allegedly spotted by pool reporter Brian Bennett, and later tweeted out by the White House reporter for the New York Times Maggie Haberman.
Mr Macron's wife reportedly “looked surprised and smiled”.
From co-pooler Brian Bennett: "When POTUS and FLOTUS started walking again, your pooler saw Macron tap his wife on the rear end."
That hasn't been the only awkward moment during this episode of 'The Trump's take on Paris'. Cameras caught a rather cringe worthy moment President Trump remarked to Brigitte Macron "You're in such good shape":
