This tweet about Gillian McKeith and being British has gone viral

The British public are vicious when they smell blood.

The only evidence we need for this is I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Series 10, in which they sent Nutritionist, author and TV presenter Gillian McKeith to no fewer than six Bushtucker trials (three in a row at one point) with massive majorities, before voting her off to finish 8th.

At one point, she, clearly aggrieved at being selected yet again, fainted.

To say many doubted that it was genuine, was an understatement. While she was supposedly unconscious she pulled her shirt down to cover her stomach.

And, well, that was probably the peak of the voting public's powers.

Until Brexit at least.

The above tweet gained over 20,000 retweets and 90,000 likes, clearly resonating with the UK audience, for both good and bad reasons.
