Alex Todd, of Chebeague Island, Maine, caught a rare white lobster on 24 August.
The catch was shared to the Facebook page for the Maine Coast Fisherman's Association.
The catch was covered by news outlets, because of the brilliant colour of the lobster:

Todd, a 10th generation Main fisherman, who's had his lunch since the age of six, told ABC News:
I’ve never seen a white one. This one was translucent with just a hint of blue in it.
He saw it was female and carrying eggs, and threw it back, as is required by Maine law of female catches.
