People are sharing the heroes from films that are really villains in disguise

From Darth Vader to the Joker and Freddy Kreuger, the villains in films are usually immediately recognisable from the outset.

But what if it’s the characters who are presented to us as “heroes” that are the true baddies?

Professor Paul Musgrave, an expert in American foreign policy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, took to Twitter to ask his followers their thoughts on the matter.

The responses are hilarious and might make you think about your favourite films in a completely new light.
