You can never be too careful when it comes to babysitters.

As a parent, you want to make sure that you leave your child with somebody qualified, who will keep them safe, well fed and looked after until you get home.

Saying that, parents, there is such a thing as going too far with your demands, according to a requirements list posted on a subreddit called r/ChoosingBeggars.

Here’s the list in all its entirety:

1. Have a Bachelors Degree in Childcare OR 9 years of relevant babysitting experience.

2. 3 Good References with Phone Numbers

3. Full Time Availability inc. weekends

4. Toy Own Car and Driving License

5. Native English Speaking and preferred second language to teach my children

6. CPR certified. Ideally a CAN license

7. NO history of traffic tickets and NO problems with the law (I will be running your name thru databases)

8. No tattoos. No drugs. No alcohol. No sketchy social media behaviour AND/OR public pictures

9. MUST be okay with my two pittbulls

11. MUST be okay with emergency last minute calls.

12. Perfect Attendance 100 per cent required

13. Willing to pay for some snacks

And finally:

14. Ideally will be a Trump fan

Ahh, that explains it. Uh, right.

In exchange for abiding with all of the above, the parent has graciously decided on a $10 (£7.80) an hour pay rate, ‘its [sic] like making $15/hr normally but without paying tax.’

'When I got to “Ideally a Trump fan”, the puzzle pieces started to come together,' one reddit user wrote. 'Do it for the EXPOSURE!' another cheekily added.

A third person admitted they were ruled out - despite being a qualified teacher.

Wow, I got ruled out for this job pretty quickly and I’m a certified teacher! Not good enough I guess.

Sigh. Just...don't be like this, parents.
