The Daily Mail appears to now be blaming foreign food on making us fat

You can always rely on the Daily Mail to make you laugh.

Let's face it, if you don't laugh, you'll cry.

The rather gaffe-prone journalist Sarah Vine took to her many column inches on Wednesday to posit a theory about why Britain is a fatter nation than it used to be. Take a guess who's to blame?

Yes, you're right. It's FOREIGNERS. Well, sort of.

Vine wrote:

In 1988, you had to go Interrailing to find houmous. Now, no fridge is complete without a pot. People think it’s healthy because it’s made out of chickpeas. Wrong. A small pot of Tesco Houmous contains a whopping 640 calories and is a quarter fat. You’d be better off dipping pitta bread into a liquidised Mars Bar.
