This mother tried to surprise her daughter at university and it backfired magnificently

Moving away from home for university is equal parts harrowing and exhilarating.

So when McKenna Pilling's mum popped around from New York to visit her at Utah State University for a surprise visit, it should have been a relief.

'Momma Pilling' thought she got one over on her daughter when, thinking McKenna was out, decided to make herself at home in what she thought was her daughter's bed, and sent her a proud selfie.

Except there was something wrong...
