Woman caught trying to smuggle vodka into racecourse inside sandwich

Southwell Racecourse have shamed a guest for attempting to sneak a bottle of Vodka past security in a sandwich.

Only alcohol bought at the racecourse is allowed to be consumed on site, so the customer was invited to collect her bottle at the end of the day.

They also shared the attempt on Twitter.

You might ask the racecourse if it's a sign their alcoholic drinks were too expensive. You might ask the guest why she didn't wish to go a day without alcohol.

WIll Bowler, marketing assistant, told the Daily Mail:

We had 9,000 people here that day and as usual we allow people to bring their own picnics but no alcohol.

We were carrying out the usual checks and then came across this particular lady who had dug out a hole in her baguette and stuffed the vodka inside.
