It seems like only a few weeks ago that we reported that a star constellation was going to bring about the Rapture and the end of life as we know it.
Actually it was only a few week ago. 23 September to be precise and you might have noticed that the world didn't end and we didn't need the help of Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and co.
Conspiracy theorists won't be held down that easily though and have declared that the apocalypse will still happen this year. At the weekend, in fact.
Doomsday expert David Meade believes that 15 October will see the start of a "seven year tribulation" involving volcanoes, floods and earthquakes. Yipee!
All this will be brought about by our old friend, the mysterious "Planet X" or "Niburu", the existence of which has been debunked several times already by NASA.
Given the unusually high number of natural disasters we have witnessed across the United States, Mexico and Africa in recent months, you could say there is method to the theory.
Meade also points towards the growing tensions between the US, North Korea, China, Russia and Iran as an indication that the end is nigh.
The American solar eclipse also has something to do with it as well. Meade is quoted as saying:
It’s the beginning. Ever since the Great American Solar Eclipse of August 21 we have been hit by a continued series of judgements.
He also points towards the Bible passage Luke 21:25 to 26:
There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars.
On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
A new piece to the puzzle is the inclusion of three kilometre asteroid named Wormwood, which is part of the "debris field of the Planet X star system."
Wormwood is predicted to hit Earth within the next seven years bringing untold devastation. Meade adds:
It will involve cataclysmic climate events related to Planet X or Wormwood – those are the trumpet judgements of Revelation.
[Solar flares will] bring down the electrical grid. Rioting and looting will be unrestrained.... society will be in chaos.
Even though his theory has been covered on several major news sites we can't help notice one flaw in his prediction.
As we have already said Planet X looks like a complete hoax and logic would suggest that if we were about to be obliterated by a planet in the sky we would have spotted it already.
Many, like NASA, and Nick Pope, formerly of the Ministry of Defence's UFO desk, doesn't believe in this theory in any of its various incarnations.
Speaking about the last Planet X scare from David Meade, Pope told Mail Online:
The bottom line is that if a mysterious 12th planet was really going to hit the Earth on Saturday, we’d all be able to see it right now.
